Paxton Basketball Fundraiser 2012/2013
Attention all players, parents, and friends of Paxton AA Basketball.
Once again it is time to raise funds for our basketball program. The money raised from this all important fundraiser goes towards end of the year awards for all teams involved, gym rentals, your child’s t-shirt, insurance of all players, end of the year tournaments, and PIAA referees. We also have to maintain 2 scoreboards, 2 possession arrows, and replacement of basketballs used for your child’s practices. As you can see it takes a lot of funds to run our program.
This year we are trying something different and selling raffle tickets for prizes. The raffle drawing will take place in January of 2013 at the all star game. We will draw the winners in between games.
All parents/guardians of players will be required to sell a minimum of 15 raffle tickets for $5.00. The raffle ticket needs to have name of person and address for the ticket to be valid. The winner does not have to be present to win. There is also a buyout option of $60, which will be due at time of registration, if you choose not to do the fundraiser. Failure to do either option will result in the player being suspended from all Paxton AA programs until the player decides to participate in the fundraising efforts of Paxton AA Basketball.
Listed below are the fundraiser requirements for the 2012/2013 basketball program.
A) All parents/guardians of players must sell a minimum of 15 raffle tickets or may choose to pay a buyout of $60.
B) All names and addresses on return portion of ticket to Paxton AA must be correct and over the age of 18 to receive prize.
C) Ticket is good during the month of January of 2013 only.
D) Ticket winners will be contacted by basketball commissioner if they not present at drawing to arrange pick up of the prize
E) Prize is selected in order from 10th place prize down to the grand prize.
F) Please only accept cash- no checks
Dates to Remember:
Sept 12 or 19 - receive fundraiser or pay buyout of $60
Week of Pony/Midget Try-outs -- turn Raffle tickets in to the
January 2013- drawing of raffle ticket prizes -- date TBA.
Prize awarded by Paxton AA fundraiser chairmen either that night of drawing or within the next week of prize being pulled.
Any parent of child selling 20 plus tickets will receive one free raffle ticket for the drawing.
Any parent of child selling 25 tickets will receive a $10 credit towards their registration costs for the season. This will be paid upon full payment of all registration and fundraiser money.
Any parent who sells 30 tickets will receive another $10 credit towards their registration and for every 5 extra tickets sold their after will receive an extra $10 credit towards registration costs. Please note that the maximum number allowed for this will be the total amount paid by parent/guardian with a maximum credit of $50 for first child and $35 for each additional.
