Can YOU make the team?

Do you have what it takes to fill a leadership position for Paxton Basketball? 
 Positions are available for
Head Coach,
Assistant Coach,
Game Manager
and others who can volunteer their time and skills to help produce the 2010-2011 basketball season.  Season runs from November through February.  Contact basketballcommissioner@paxtonathletics.org for more information.

Basketball Registrations

Registrations will be held Wednesday Sept 8 and Wednesday Sept 15 (6:30-8:30 PM) at E H Phillips Elementary School (location is the Gym/Cafeteria).  Register and pay online at our Registration Page, or

Download the Registration Form here.
Be sure to submit all pages when registering using this form, along with your payment,
AND attach a copy of the Code of Conduct to the Registration Form.
Payment for Registration by mail or at a Registration Event is $50 for the first Participant and $35 for each additional family member.
Submit paper registrations to the Basketball Commissioner at 165 Hunters Ridge Drive, Harrisburg PA 17110.
Mail-In registrations must be PRE-APPROVED by the Commissioner -- Email contact is basketballcommissioner@paxtonathletics.org.

Online registrations  will be accepted from August 15 to Sept 6, 2010 on a first come, first served basis.  Online registrations will accept major credit cards for payment.

New League Forming

Paxton Basketball is seeking 14 and 15 yr olds to play in a newly formed high school level league playing in the Suburban League.

Possible candidates need to conduct Joe Acri  (basketballcommissioner@paxtonathletics.org) as soon as possible because this league will only be formed if enough interest is gained. The league will need at least 4 or 5 teams from the area in order to create the program.

School Flyer for Basketball

Click to download a copy of the Flyer that will be distributed in the schools to recruit players for Basketball.  If you know of someone who should receive this information, please print a copy and pass it on to them.

Sponsorship Request Letter

Click to download a Sponsorship Letter you can distribute to any potential SPONSORS for the league.  Feel free to make as many copies as possible and give them to local businesses who may want to support our teams.

Some upcoming CHANGES for the 2010-2011 basketball season:

• Skillbuilders- will divide 6 yr olds and 7 yr olds into separate teams.

  • 6 yr old class will only be 30 minutes long with no games.

  • 7 yr old class will be 60 minutes long and will play 4 games throughout the season.

• The fundraiser will be changing to raffle prizes for pampered chef instead of being based on the big 4 lottery.

  • One pampered chef prize will be auctioned throughout the month of January based on a raffle ticket drawing.

  • Buyout will be $70.

  • Fundraiser will remain the same as last season selling 10 tickets for $10 a piece.
