Basketball Registrations

Online Registrations are CLOSED for 2012-2013.
Those interested in being placed on the waiting list should contact the Commissioner at basketballcommissioner@paxtonathletics.org.

NO SMOKING POLICY

 Smoking is not allowed at any Paxton Athletic Association Sporting Event,  Paxton uses the Central Dauphin School District Fields and also the CD School Buildings,   Smoking is not allowed at the fields or outside of the School entrance ways.  

Weather Cancellations

If the Central Dauphin School District closes or dismisses early all activities at district buildings are cancelled for that evening.

If there is a game away like Rutherford Youth Center- emails will be sent out regarding the cancellations or parents and players can call their coaches to see if the game is still being played.
 

PLEASE share with Players and Parents:

If anyone brings any water bottles or coats, or other personal belongings in the gyms, please take it with you. Paxton is not responsible for lost items you may leave in the buildings. 

Also, Please make sure you gather all trash that you may create at practices or games.

General Meeting -- Coaches:

Paxton Basketball League meeting at 8:45 pm at EH Phillips School, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013.  This meeting is MANDATORY for all basketball coaches.

Background Checks:

Reminder -- all basketball coaches must complete their background checks by October 1, 2012 to coach at Paxton. This is done thru the USA Football website. (please ask Jared F for directions to access site)

Can YOU make the team?

Do you have what it takes to fill a leadership position for Paxton Basketball? 
 Positions are available for
Head Coach,
Assistant Coach,
Scorekeepers
Game Manager
and others who can volunteer their time and skills to help produce the 2012-2013 basketball season.  Season runs from November through February.  Contact basketballcommissioner@paxtonathletics.org for more information.

League & Game Rules

The following Rules can be downloaded so that Parents and Players can become familiar with them:

Paxton Basketball Refund Policy

Effective immediately - the following refund policy is in effect:

  • Full refunds will be given up till the player starts the season or Evaluations/try/outs.

  • Once evaluations/tryouts start players will then receive partial refunds (organization will keep $10  processing fee).

  • Once players placed on teams and practice- no refunds will be given. (unless as special circumstance).

  • If a player makes a middle school basketball team the player that made the school team will receive a full refund once confirmed by the school.

Charges for Checks Returned

Please note that a check is returned by your bank for Non-Sufficient Funds the basketball league will charge a fee of $20 + the bank returned-check charge + the original amount of the check.  For Example -- A $100 check returned would be charged $100 + $20 League fee + $12 bank fee = $132.00.

School Policies

The CD School District prohibits smoking on all school property inside and outside- so please all parents and spectators- please make the league look good and follow the CD School district Guidelines and DO NOT SMOKE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.

THE SCHOOLS WILL NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS Till the following times:
CD Middle School - 6:30pm
EH Phillips Elem- 6:20pm
Southside Elem School- 6:00pm

Please do not bring food or drink into any gyms that are used for practices or games- this is a school district policy

Sponsorships Available

if any business in the area would like to sponsor one of our many teams t-shirts, please email Basketball commissioner. The Business would get their name on the basketball web site and on the t-shirt and you would be helping out the youth of the community. T-shirt costs about $125.00 per team

Click to download a Sponsorship Letter you can distribute to any potential SPONSORS for the league.  Feel free to make as many copies as possible and give them to local businesses who may want to support our teams.
