NO SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is
not allowed at any Paxton Athletic Association Sporting Event,
Paxton uses the Central Dauphin School District Fields and also the
CD School Buildings, Smoking is not allowed at the fields or
outside of the School entrance ways.

Weather Cancellations
If the Central Dauphin School District closes
or dismisses early all activities at district buildings are
cancelled for that evening.
If there is a game away like Rutherford Youth Center- emails will be
sent out regarding the cancellations or parents and players can call
their coaches to see if the game is still being played.

Congratulations
to Morgan Meck from the Paxton pony Celtics for receiving first place in the PA
District Elks Lodge foul shooting competion. Next up for her is States-Way to Go
Morgan!!!!!

Also congratulations to Nathan from the Paxton Celtics Seeger for receiving 6th
place on the boys side of the competition. Way to Go Nathan!!!

-- Please share with Players
and Parents:
If anyone
brings any water bottles or coats, or other personal belongings in
the gyms, please take it with you. Paxton is not responsible for
lost items you may leave in the buildings.
Also,
Please make sure you gather all trash that you may create at
practices or games.

Basketball Registrations
Online Registrations are now CLOSED for the 2011-2012 program year.
If you wish to submit a registration for a waiting list, please send it via Email
to the commissioner (address below)

League & Game Rules
The following Rules can be downloaded so that Parents and
Players can become familiar with them:

Paxton Basketball Refund
Policy
Effective
immediately - the following refund policy is in effect:
-
Full
refunds will be given up till the player starts the season or
Evaluations/try/outs.
-
Once
evaluations/tryouts start players will then receive partial refunds
(organization will keep $10 processing fee).
-
Once
players placed on teams and practice- no refunds will be given. (unless as
special circumstance).
-
If a
player makes a middle school basketball team the player that made the school
team will receive a full refund once confirmed by the school.

your understanding.
Charges for Checks Returned
Please note that a check is returned by your bank for
Non-Sufficient Funds the basketball league will charge a fee of $20 + the
bank returned-check charge + the original amount of the check. For Example
-- A $100 check returned would be charged $100 + $20 League fee + $12 bank fee =
$132.00.
School Policies
The CD School District prohibits smoking on all school
property inside and outside- so please all parents and spectators- please make
the league look good and follow the CD School district Guidelines and DO NOT
SMOKE ON SCHOOL PROPERTY.
THE SCHOOLS WILL NOT UNLOCK THE DOORS Till the following times:
CD Middle School - 6:30pm
EH Phillips Elem- 6:20pm
Southside Elem School- 6:00pm
Please do not bring food or drink into any gyms that are used for
practices or games- this is a school district policy
NEWS from the Commissioner
To all
Parents, Coaches, and Players,
As the
games begin, I just want to remind everyone of a few things as far as game rules
go:
-
Please let the coaches coach, the players play, and the
refs ref the games- if you are such a expert, please help and volunteer your
time. Do not be critical of calls and always cheer in a positive
manner!
-
Remember the no tolerance policy that everyone signed
at sign ups will be enforced.
-
Please make sure your player is on time at the game and
practices- we cannot wait for anyone for the game to start. They will start
at the time they are scheduled unless the first game runs over.
-
Please make sure all players are picked up on time
after games and practices.
-
Any issues with a coach or ref should be brought to my
attention- do not cause a scene.
-
This league is about teaching players the game of
basketball- no standings will be kept.
-
I would also like to say that we had a record 8 players
make their respective middle school teams. That's a big accomplishment for
us and the coaches that are in place and teaching the kids the game of
basketball is a big reason why. Thank you coaches for the job you do and
great job to the players that made the school teams. We are all very proud
of each and everyone one of you. Represent Paxton well!!!!
